Re: lead lifts They are good made i have used em b4. You can use the long wired leads or the short as you can remove the white fin bit from the wire this makes attatching the leads a bit easier i find. Just wind in and watch that rig slide across the surface straight away.

Re: lead lifts You can use them on all leads, one end clips to the lead the other to the end of you rig that would normally atatch to the lead. I used them a lot off spurn point, when winding in it feels very heavy at first as the lead heads for the surface. __________________ Come on you HULL!

Re: lead lifts Sounds like a rig I could use for the rocks in my area. Big fish, but get snagged to often and loose to much gear, so don't fish it much. If anyone has a pic, it would sure help to see it __________________ Confucius say "Man who spend day comtemplating life.... spend to much time on toilet"

Re: lead lifts I found a pic of the lead lifts: What is the heavy spiked thing at the end, is that the lead, I assume the spikes are to keep it from moving in the current/waves, the lift looks like a plane we use to do downrigging. Do the leads come in different weights and trhe approprite lifts as well __________________ Confucius say "Man who spend day comtemplating life.... spend to much time on toilet"

Re: lead lifts That spiky thing is the lead. The spikes are so that they hold bottom in the tide. Yes, they come in different weights so you can match them to strength of tide. The lead lifts are just one way of dealing with a snaggy bottom. Another way is to use a rotten bottom. This is a short length of line of weaker breaking strain than the main line, attached to the lead. If the lead becomes snagged, the weaker line breaks leaving you with a lost lead, but hopefully a landed fish.
