I used to do a lot of target rifle myself so I really enjoy shooting too. I know you guys are sensible enough to use them sensibly.

It has got to be one the most hi-tech guns I've seen in ages too.

Have a great time using it.

Please though do not shoot cormarants with it....use something bigger.

i used to do target shooting (.22) and i was using a gun about 70yrs old, it was an old bsa 1 i think and it did the job fine, well it hit the target but in some1 else's hands it was very good

Ben, Glad your enthusiastic. Unfortunatley, the British Army, like the ret of NATO uses the 5.56mm and Britain has the crappy SA-80 series because they dropped the L1-A1 line a while ago . The SA-80 has been known for nothing but trouble. If somehow you find your way into The Regiment that's why they use M-16 series rifles. Air rifles only have 1 military purpose, training. High powered rifles won't group as well as a precision .22 rimfire or a 4.5mm (.177) target air rifle, usually. The recoil from the 5.56mm is not to bad. It will feel like a .22 rim fire, nothing. Nice to know there is still people in UK that like guns and hunting. If you want to shoot real guns though, your gunna have to come to the USA, unless you want to put up with the labour designed 1997 laws. Do you shoot positions?

Hunting has always been fishings brother, and target shooting accompanies hunting. You can never have too many guns.

The sa 80 is no longer in use(yes it was crap)we now use the A2 which is 500% better and made by a differen company.

My mate Kevin who is the secretary at the gun club,( incidently he has won the worlds twice) does alot of hunting in the USA, he's going again soon but this time he's taking his bow with him.
Another guy you might have heard of is a chap called Nick J. He's won the worlds I think about 6 times, He's the guy I got my gun off.I shot our ft course yesturday and hit a 37 out of 40, best I ever did.
