| Re: Members day Looks like we'll have a decent turnout too. Rigs: Any 2/3 hook rig will do. I would make sure you have clip down rigs as you might want to cast a fair old way to the Mussel beds which are about 80 yds out. Bring some mackie feathers also. Hooks: 1/0, 1's, 2's. Lead: 4, 5 and 6oz grip leads. Tide runs very fast mid way through flood and ebb. Use the long Gemini yellow tops as grip leads. Bait: Crab, Rag, Lug, Mackerel, Squid. I found recently that rag tipped the a crab leg worked wonders. I think the rules for the fishing should be, max 2 rods and 3 hooks in the water at any time, with a Pennel counting as 2 hooks and a treble on a spinner etc. counting as three. All fish to count and no limits on anything other than mackerel. We can use the points system my club uses. Lets just go for an honour system and base catches on trust, maybe you show your catch to your fishing neighbour. We can produce a catch card that the individual fills in. Any fish for the pan must meet NFSA size limits please. __________________ Back to the fizzy pop league for another season |
