| Re: Grauvel Teklon Low Diameter Line Well the biggest thing to look for whilst shore fishing is the diameter of the fishing line. A cheap line normally has a high diameter compared to a more costly one. My favour line is Diawa Tournament line ( 15lb ) - Nice and thin and the line runs very well off the spool and through the rings. | Re: Grauvel Teklon Low Diameter Line Use Daiwa Sensor all the time on the boat,18lb test doesn`t kink ,knot strength is brilliant as is abrasion resistance, and when the enevitable birdy happens does not tie itself into a million knots around the spool either.Also use Ultima Red ice for the shockleader 50lb its bright red,easy to see when playing a fish and helps you steer clear or other anglers lines . Red is one of the colours in the spectrum thats becomes more or less invisable in water below a couple of meters,so does not spook fish in clear water. |

| Re: Grauvell Teklon Gold Low Diameter Line funny enough i went into the tackle shop the other week to get some 15lb line for my 5500...saw this and saw the line diameter.....bought without really thinking things through. yes i managed to get all 330 m onto a 5500!!!...casting with a light rod ok...which is what i wanted it for...flattie bashing....dropping baits 20-50 yards...which it will do all day long no problems. i'm not sure about the abrasive resistance...imagine it will suffer being so thin. as stated great for short lobs...put some power in the cast and ooooppps..birdies that are very tight and i wouldn't want to test the line that had been involved in the birdie!!! i will be taking it off...don't really like it! john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size |
