Re: 2 new bits of kit

lifes for living mate, there is no point in saving all your money for a "rainy day" which never comes
all the money i earn gets spent mentaly 5 times befor i have even earned it and then it gets spent on something completly different
i would like to point out its all my money by the way
next couple of bits of kit i need is a beach buddy (any siggestions on which 1?) and a pair of those anyfish anywhere trousers

Re: 2 new bits of kit

Talking of new kit, I got another Abu 6500 Mag Elite the other day, so now I have a matching pair of rods (Penn powerstick surf 13ft) and abu reels. All is well! Couldnt get on with a Penn 525gs I had.

Talking of beach buddies anyone got any advice? A beach buddy is on my list also for some time when the weather gets a bit nasty.

Believe rob when he says do it before you get a car and a GF and a house! it gets much harder to buy kit when so many other things seem to be more important!

Re: 2 new bits of kit

Hey guys....get the girl, car, house, kids. Wait for most of them to leave home and.....BINGO you got more money than you know what to do with. And it can all go on fishing cos your wife's off horse riding or playing the piano or shopping for shoes she'll never wear. just like us buying lures that would only actually work on an undiscovered fish in a small pond in Peru....but hey..it looks nice in the various tackle boxes filling the spare rooms!!!! Looking up briefly from screen I have 8 large plastic boxes of tackle, a chest of bags full, shelves of reels and rods that date back to Walton. Plus all the electronic gear to send a space shuttle to Uranus!! You never have enough gear and i still blank!
Jules.
Jeez I love fishing.

Re: 2 new bits of kit

Funny you should mention Beach buddies Ben, been wondering what to go for myself. The other type that i've seen advertised is the shakespeare one, also a lot cheaper than the John Holden model. Sea Angler magazine are doing a group test in their May issue.
