| Dorset I'm intending to fish around the dorset coast this weekend. I usually spin and plug for bass and love it. Not always fruitful but always enjoyable. Kimmeridge is good, but I wondered whether it was worth spinning at Chesil Beach and the like. I also like the idea of fishing on the beach east of Durdle Door, is it worth a trip? Any tips gratefully received as my friend and I are travelling from London and it's a long way! The tides is high at 11am on saturday, what's the fishing like after that? Thanks Scott. |

| Re: Dorset Kimmeridge is a great place to spin and plug. The wave cut platforms provide excellent access to fishing spots. You do have to fish the right tide down there though! Oh, and watch the parking fees!!! Chesil is good when there is N/Westely blowing and a bit of surf. Launch a popper just behind the surf and you will grab the attention of the Bass! Man 'O' War bay is East of Durdle. Never fished there myself, but i have snorkled around the reef alot and seen good size bass, Wrasse and Pollock. Dexter Wedges work well here! Rapala X-Raps, as well. Pop-up and see Portland Pirate at his shop on Portland, Very Knowledgable on Portland fishing Spots!!! Live Bait as well!!! Good Luck DB&DB |
