Re: Rod tip

By saying heat it up I trust its glued on not wiped

I would say try heat method but it probably will not work

if it does not then cut it

Just wait , people might have a much better idea

P.S my best rod I built from a blank 20 yrs old and still hands like a dream (freshwater)

Go here and look at the Tips & Tricks paragraph

If in doubt, do as Norfolk suggests.

Re: Rod tip

normally its a heat up and replace but if in any doubt
best to go tackle shop
only 2 mins and about £2-£3 and you get the right size for the rod

Re: Rod tip

Whilst on the subject of rod tips.........Has anyone ever made one of there rods thinner and more sensitive by sanding them down?

A few yrs back my mate done it but im not sure!

would it make that much of a differance and would it weaken your rod tip that much? the reason for asking is that i have a six ounce rod which i dont like and it just sits in the corner doind nothing! just wondered if i could make it act like a 4-5ounce thats all!
