Fishing Deal Pier

Hi there,
I will be fishing Deal Pier hopefully this week. I've never fished it before and was hoping for some tips!! I've read something about the third shelter? Also, is it true that due to the length of the Pier you can fish it at low tide? I'm going to be using lug tipped with mackeral or squid.

Thanks!

Re: Fishing Deal Pier

Hi,
Thanks for the replies everyone (I posted this twice). The Pier fished more or less until the sun came up which was strange as this was hight tide. Had lots of Pouting, ugly Horse Mackerel and a good few Doggies, my dad also had a nice Smoothhound which was great, especially as his lead was buried and looked to be lost untl I managed to pull it free. Seems to be a good bit of lost tackle down there, I must have pulled in 6 or 7 leads in with my gear. No monsters either but was good fun!
