hehehe, the thing that you have to bear in mind is that legal keeping limits change around the counrty, only slightly but there is a change, but I do agree that it is mainly arrogance, you find it in all disciplines of fishing, all diciplines of life really, its a case of "If I'm caught I can claim ignorance" we do need people to get out there just keeping the message out that there is a minimum size. I would do it myself but i work 8-6 and live in the midlands with no car :$ so yeah no point in me putting that really, lol, erm.. what was I saying again? o yeah ignorance and arrogance *end of rant*

ok, lets put this to bed... Plod I understand you were making a tongue in cheek remark, I don't think for a minute that you are the sort of guy who goes around beating people up for keeping under sized fish !!! God forbid !!

What we have to understand here is this: People from all over the world can log on and read threads/posts etc on this forum. And that also includes the ANTI-ANGLING BRIGADE !!! All it takes is one of them to get a hold of a remark like that and, well, mountains and molehills comes to mind ! Give that lot an inch, and they'll take a mile !!

So, please, Plod, don't stop contributing to the forum, I may not have a lot to say recently, but I do read EVERY thread/post !! And I enjoy your input, along with many other forum members, lets just think twice before we say things that others could take the wrong way.

And remember, if you see someone keeping undersize fish, just remind him/her that it's illegal and that them little'uns will turn into big'uns !!

Eductaion of anglers and enforcement of the rules is a problem. Do you think that licencing sea anglers might be a sulution? Someone will have to police the licencing and the same people could also enforce rules like minimum landing sizes, etc.
