Catch a fisherman Just thought I would share a little something I learned as a sporting goods purchasing rep for Tru-serve corp. Basicly my job was to travel around to the supplier and manufactuer's product shows and buy new items to be sold in hardware stores in the United States. One thing we where told early on when looking for new products was to buy stuff that would catch fishermen, not Fish. The supplier is trying to sell a product and turn a profit; if it could be done on its own without advertising that was better then having to advertise an item actully working. We always bought the brightest and most eye catching items as they would sell them selves even if they did not catch fish.

Re: Catch a fisherman I think I'd prefer the phrase "It has to catch the fisherman first" __________________ A bad day fishing is better than a good day working! Fishing: if it were easy, it'd be called "Catching" http://www.flickr.com/photos/omahayank/sets/

Re: Catch a fisherman this is very true. most anglers are tackle tarts, me included. i will by anything that i like the look of if i think it's got a chance of working. if it does work and i'm confident in using it then i'll by more. if after a fair length of time it doesn't work then i won't buy it/ them again.
