Re: plymouth, aberystwyth and bournemouth?

after uni i wanna join the army or marines dave, and then after my time is up start my own buisiness, a tackle shop (thats my dream anyway)
my university degree is only to fall back on incase things go tits up, and to keep my parents happy, and to help me get accepted as an officer in the army

Re: plymouth, aberystwyth and bournemouth?

Ben you dont need a degree to be accepted as an officer, its not 1950s britain.
Most officers now are just normal run of the mill lads, you still get your idiots but there getting fewer.
Anyway its still a good idea to have it to fall back on,good luck with it.
PS Any chance of cheep gear when you get that shop

Re: plymouth, aberystwyth and bournemouth?

checked on the net a little while ago and it said it helps alot having a degree of some sort getting in, and i might be able to get a sponsership through uni which would be even better
and sure you can have cheap gear as long as you show me how to fish

Re: plymouth, aberystwyth and bournemouth?

Hi Ben,

Put me down for a new Shimano Charter Special and I will give you a few lessons on Saturday, one to one, on how to catch super oversize Bream.

Best of luck with your ambition. See you Saturday.

Cheers

Drew

Re: plymouth, aberystwyth and bournemouth?

Go for Plymouth, plenty of good fishing nearby plus if you join the Marines you are already in the right place. Discovered too late that the army would have given me money to go to Uni or I'd have done it.
