 new rod+reel just got back from the tackle shop and i couldnt resist a new spinning rod and reel, got a good deal as well the rod is a fladen vantage 200cm 1 peice spinning rod which casts upto 70g (£24) the reel is a fladen elite RD, nothing fancy but nice, same as the 1 brett has (£18) had 1 little cast with them and they seem very nice, its a very thin blanks with a realitvly stiff action, should be just right for bass! got all of that, 30 rag worm and £5 worth of line for £35! only problem is the rod is 1 peice and hard to cycle with __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's     |

Up pompey way ive never seen Bass in such numbers,i had a walk around port solent marina yesterday and saw scores of them with plenty in the 2-4lb size. Likewise the bit of water near were i live is alive with them,theres always been plenty of schoolies but this year theres a lot more sizable fish,things look good. __________________ One day i will post a catch report again. |

| Re: new rod+reel just a quick update, just been down the beach with it and it casts wonderfully even in the wind it was too windy to try using plugs because they just caught the wind but an artifitial ell and a 2oz lead cast very well, really nice feel as well loaded with braid, i had 1 definat tug but the rest of the time there was too much sea weed __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's |
