A rant........ well more of a moan really.

Well looks like this posting stirred up some feelings...... I had a brilliant idea awhile back.... but for some reason I could'nt find any takers to help me implement it.
My wonderously cunning plan was..... find 200 + beach fishermen...... take them to Newquay..... line them up along the beach at 10 yard intervals... and fish... all day.
The cunning part was .... do it on a day when they hold a surfing competition !!
Given that it is a public beach..... wonder what would happen.

i dont want to piss anyone off, i just want people to respect each other and their leisure pursuits, but i am realistic and know that is never going to happen.
oh well, it could be worse, fishing could be banned.............

Couldn't agree more Pross. Can't remember the last time I went fishing. Now we're in a new house I should hopefully be getting out more soon.

Thought id share a little story to cheer you guys up a bit.

I was over on Crete a while ago, i was sat on the rocks fishing minding me own business, there was a boat about 400 meters out, he'd bin there for a while, so i got to the point where i didn't even notice him, anyways i heard this dull boom, and bugger me if a big blob didn't appear in the water.
The k--b was fishing with explosives, now i've seen this a few times here its not really regular here, but if you hang about fishing ports you will often see blokes with 1 arm so it happens often enough.
Anyway im thinking great, cause all the fish that arn't dead are going to head for the shallows (me), he chucks in a few sticks then i here this panic shouting, then the boom but louder than before, it seems 1 of the blokes hadn't thrown the explosives far enough away from the boat, unfortunatly the boat didn't actually explode like in the movies, but the swell of the water flipped the boat over, gave em all a dunking lost all thier tackle everything.
As soon as i saw they were all ok i had to leave, i jusy could not stop laughing.

As for getting botherd by surfers, jetskis etc, simple solution, i find if you fish near rocks no one ever bothers you, only the odd brave swimmer.
As you can guess summer here is mental, so the only chance you get top fish is near the rocks.
