damn right i am not a typical teenager, i mean, i go to parties and stuff with mates and have a few drinks but i dont get off my head and start fights, but like you say, we are getting off our asses and doing something that is not counter-productive, as for the hooligans remark, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and i admit i did wrong in that case with the canoeist, but hey, everyone gets p*ssed off at some point.

i think that anglers are misunderstood by a lot of people and it is mainly people who have no idea of how we treat the fish or how we treat our fishing envirionment in general.....

Cuttlefish pots - for the love of god WHY do they need to ONLY lay them in the most popular fishing locations. Hopes Nose and Princess Pier. jeez, this drives me nuts!

DayTrip (grockle) Boats - We had one last year purposely coming out of the marina and belt along the wall (we're talking max 10 yards out) taking out every float/ledger/spinner along the pier. If he does it this year I'm throwing chips and bait on the boat all night so the seagulls shit all over it!

Jet Ski's - Why can only 50% of them understand that a few dozen people with fishing rods and lines out along princess pier means that by coming in right along the pier you're upsetting everyone there!

Seriously though i think we need to realise the british isles is one very crowded island with a lot of people all wanting to do there own thing on or around the water,when you think about it its amazing everyone gets on so well.
I have a mate who does a lot of wind surfing and i know they curse us as much as we curse them.
Top tip= stick to night fishing,no surfers,no jet skis,few fishing boats=more fish.

Night fishing.......I have enough trouble fishing in daylight !!!..... lets reverse this thought for a minute...... why dont they go jetskiing surfing body boarding etc etc AT NITE !!!??
The last time I went nite fishing two highly amusing (for others) things occurred..... one, I cast into the rocks ! and didnt know till I retrieved, second, I nearly fell in.
I'd need football ground floodlights to fish at nite and probably end up with someone from the shipping authorities complaining that ships were being confussed.
And and and.... er...... fish sleep at nite .... everyone knows that.

Some years ago now,i knew someone who got fed up with speed boats raceing over where we were fishing so he fired out his spare rod in it's path.What a take he had.Stripped his reel of line.Lost the lot. Best thing about it, the boat broke down in front of us. Made our day when they started waveing at us.We just waved back
