| Re: Whats the Most successful lure? I think lure selection all boils down to conditions at the time. Do you need to cast a long way? Or are the fish close in? Do you want the lure to sink, or float? Do you need a lot of movement, or something that will flash as you sink and draw? For a good all round lure the old Toby takes some beating. The Cox and Rawle bass bullets are also very good, as are the old german sprat and cekrill bars. Under certain conditions the rubber eels are the only way to go. When the bass are hitting the fry you could use bare hooks with a bit of silver paper wrapped around them to catch plenty of fish. Lure fishing is more about the where and when than what lure you are using. |
