Storing Rigs Hi Folks, Following on from reusing your rigs, how do you store your rigs. (Not where) I have tried many ways of keeping my rigs neat and tidy but they nearly always end up in a knot when I remove them from my rig wallet. For example, take a 6 - 8 - 10ft or whatever trace for a Red Gill or Jelly Worm. I coil it and twist the last 6" or so round the coil and keep it in a plastic bag, the type a bank uses for change, before puting it in my rig wallet. When I come to take it out I end up with a tangle, any suggestions please. Cheers Drew __________________ All that Glitters is not Gold Secretary of The Blandford Sea Angling Club

Hi Drew, I tie a lot of rigs, and have found that if you coil them around you hand then take take two or three turns inside the rig it will hold togther .......or a short length of bag wrap wire or green twist ties as used in the garden on 3 sides of the rig to secure it. But the important part is to unravel the rig properly and this is achieved by putting the rig back on your hand and then unravelling it. If you don't it will tanlge most times. To remember to do this...store in haste....unravel in a mess! I hope this helps.

Re: Storing Rigs I roll them up and use some of that twisty plastic stuff (technical name!) that you used to get on loaves of bread to hold them together. I then keep them individually in re-sealable plastic food bags which you can then write rig type / line weights / hook sizes etc. on. Wrap snoods separate to the main rig. Only thing is, I then use the rig and just chuck it back in any bag afterwards and pull out a rusted, tangled mess the next time!

Re: Storing Rigs john marshal has a good way of doing it, get some pipe insulation stuff (the foam stuff) and wrap it around that, does the trick just fine __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's
