Talking ATTITUDE : slobbing or bobbing?

i know that everyone on this forum has different styles and tastes when it come to fishing but i was wondering what is everyones approach to it.

the question being, when you fish do you:
a) slob around and wait for the fish to come to you
b)bob up and down all the time checking things and move to a different place (stalking the fish)
or c) a mixture of both

my question also incorporates how much you move around for the fish.

me personally, i sometimes just laze around in the summer sun waiting for my rod tip to nod under the influence of a feeding fish. and there are the other times when i am never in one place for more than five minutes and in a day i cover up to a mile of coastline (this is usually when i am roaming for wrasse and bass).
so, all in all i am a mixture of the two extremes.

what about the rest of you guys (and gals if any read this thread)

Re: ATTITUDE : slobbing or bobbing?

Like you Chubb a bit of both really.

One thing i did notice though,
I mainly fish from rocks, and i have a great spot where there is a 10m deep ledge right next to where i stand, literaly 1m away, as the water here is usually extremly clear with polarised glasses you can easily see the bottom.

Usually im batting about baiting hooks, sorting stuff out etc etc.

Last week i was knackerd and it hot (32 on the car temp thing) so i sat down, which turned into a lie down, whhich turned into an hours sleep.

As i woke up i looked over the ledge and there must have been 5 seabream swimming around me hook and float, i've been fishing there for months, but never seen seabream so close, i stood up to bring my other float closer, and they swam off.
The sun was in front of me, so it wasn't my shadow, it put it down to vibration through the rocks, i have tried it several times since and it usually around 30 mins of non movement the fish start to get adventurous.

So if ya fishing from rocks guys, stay still.

Cheers Mark.

Re: ATTITUDE : slobbing or bobbing?

after having lugged all the gear there usually quite static
but if just a spinning rod and lures, or float and bit of bait will walk loads
either way its fishing

Re: ATTITUDE : slobbing or bobbing?

A bit of both.

Don't mind sitting behind some alarms for 2 days or whatever, also love to get roaming with a float near some reeds sitting on the water, waiting for it to cock

Don't mind what I'm doing, as long as I'm fishing

Thumbs up Re: ATTITUDE : slobbing or bobbing?

Me personally i love to just sit there. Have the optonics sitting there and just watch a float or watch birds/admire the countryside as it is very picturesque where i fish But when it calls for it and the fish are going mad then i will chase them uphill and downdale to get them
