smart bait

Hi

Anybody tried smartbait peel-o-crab or lug - any good - i picked some up at the NEC but havent tried yet - what do you think ??

i tried the peeler crab stuff, didnt work for me but no other baits were working then either, once smuts are about im gonna try it more to see if it works for them
i think coloured water for fish which hunt by smell it should work, but not for things like bass

I have tried the crab bait and only found it worked whilst fishing on the boats. Never caught with it from the shore.
The fish n strip on the other hand are quite good and i have caught quite a few fish with them. Although i have to say they are mostly better for flatties and dogfish then things like cod.

I have had mixed results with Ultra bite.

But overall i do rate it. It is especially good for when it is slack water.

it just seems abit expencive, how much do you put on each bait, also which type is it you buy
the general sea fish 1 of 1 for a species like bass?

I tend to use it in a container with a few bits of bait thrown in. They soak up the fluid and then release it into the water. I mostly use it for boat fishing but occasionally from the shore.

I normally use 'General sea fishing' ultabite. Have not tried the others yet.

hey its a hell of alot easyer to use REAL bait, just what i think.
