just a thought as I made up few rigs today always make sure shockleader is up too lead used I:e 10lb to 1oz so usually load with 60lb so will cover all weights i may use, but it accured to me that as i make traces with 50lb suffix surely max weight should be no more than a 5oz lead on the end as is part of shockleader strength surely hope this dont seem to stupid a thought dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives

Hi Dave, I always use 60lb Penn Tuff Stuff for my general rig bodies and 60lb shock leader. Sometimes step up to 80lb Penn Tuff Stuff for rougher ground. However, if using 6oz leads I would not feel comfortable in only a 50lb rig body, even though my shock leader was 60lbs. Just my thoughts mate....not a criticism.

Re: rig bodies V leads I always use 80lb for longrange rig bodys,if its just a flapper or scratching rig i will come down to about 30lb,as long as its only lobbed out its ok.
