A question about the "UK technium" mono

I've seen two kinds of technium lines on the shimano site, the "regular" and the UK version, that seems to come in different diameters and has lower Breaking Strength.

from teh data on the shimano site the 0.38UK has the same BS as the 0.25 regular.

so I wonder - basically, is this true, and what are the differences of the one from the other?
