New Year's Day!

Well dont know about everyone else but i,m staying off the beer again this new year and off out somewhere for a sesh on the 1st.
At the moment it's looking very wet on new years day down here so it might just be an easy trip looking for a species or two down one of the local harbours. Hopefully the forecast is gonna change and i,l be able to venture down a nice rock mark in search of a winter pollack, would be nice to kick the new year off with a decent fish.
So it's lights out and turn the tv down at 11 to try and avoid the zombies bashing on the door wanting to wish me a happy "Hogmanay" in there best Scottish accent and asking if i want a "wee nip", they can all f*@k aff cause i,m going fishing after my eggs n bacon brekkie .
Anyone else out and about on the 1st?

Re: New Year's Day!

Am planning on being in no sane let alone fit state to fish on the 1st!

But... am currently mulling over going out on Christmas Night!
Would probably have to be frozen baits due to having nowhere to keep worm.
All weather permitting of course.

All I want for Christmas is a heatwave.
But I'll settle for a Beach Buddy!

Re: New Year's Day!

Had enough lost days at new year Ish, blanked on 1-1-2011 if i remember right so anything caught is an improvement.
Would have been out over Christmas too but got family visiting, might manage a wee trip if they head out for the boxing day sales.
I,m buying myself some frozen mackie, sandeel and squid for Christmas but i dont think i,l wrap it and leave it under the tree til the 25th
