| Homemade lead options I have made leads in the past, both sea lead and coarse fishing bombs so experienced with the process but I'm looking at buying a mould for making my beach leads and wonder what folks here use - Gemini or Breakaway or another? What leads do you use and why? Which mould would offer the best all round saving? I like the Gemini mould as the one mould makes different sizes and the cones/wires etc are cheap enough on fleabay... |

| Re: Homemade lead options I have Gemini normal and splashdown moulds ,make multiple sizes with 1 mould ,with the kits works out at 90p a lead, very reasonable. The moulds are excellent quality ,and by using the gemini mould clamp ,easy to knock out several dozen in half an hour...... __________________ Mike.. | Re: Homemade lead options I have always wanted to make a some leads but am unsure how you go about doing it? Where do you get the lead from to make them? Scrappy? I not sure if you are allowed to use real lead anymore because of health and safety issues? __________________ Sea 2012- 5brd rockling, whiting, LS Dogfish,Bass,Eel,Flounder F/W 2012- Catfish(16.5lb), Carp,Tench LITTER IS JUST LAZINESS!! |

| Re: Homemade lead options Did use Gemini but now use Namix, find them more compact. The moulds are a bit pricey though but works out alot cheaper than the Gemini to make. Quote:

| Re: Homemade lead options I am also looking to try and make my own leads. I have found this one which looks pretty good as you get 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz & 4oz which is exactly what I want! Didn't expect them to be so expensive though! Jeez http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1206038349...ht_2770wt_1069 |
