Re: casting aid I "stick" by my original reply. I had one and passed it on to a member of this forum many years ago, he has as I did, discarded it as useless. If they were any good I'm sure that EVERY beach caster using a fixed spool reel would have one????? Other than using superglue I tried every way possible to secure it to my reel, without success. In the end I did what every other beach caster does and bought a multiplier. __________________ All that Glitters is not Gold Secretary of The Blandford Sea Angling Club

Re: casting aid Chris I use the "thumb button" on my f/s rods and it is a fantastic tool once you get the hang of it,ignore Drew he is talking out of his rear end (sorry mate but you are) both my f/s rods have buttons taped on with insulating tape and I have no problems with either of them!

Re: casting aid Little Fish, I can only give an opinion, I have given an honest opinion as asked to. Further more I have never met you and I am not your mate and I don't speak out of my rear end. There is know need to be nasty. The only person you have let down is yourself. Who are you may I ask? From what you have stated you must be an expert fisherman? In all my days on the beach I have never seen anyone using a thumb button, in fact all the local fishermen down here use multipliers. A few use fixed spool reels after dark, but only a few. May I ask how often do you fish and where is your your local venue? Your truthful answers would be appreciated. __________________ All that Glitters is not Gold Secretary of The Blandford Sea Angling Club

Re: casting aid Well that went down well, I suppose like everything tackle related, there is division, what does work for one angler may not work for another, for whatever the reason. Some people have more tenacity and adaptability to testing the products before passing the product on as not suitable or to their liking, or then passing comments or judgements, me I have an open mind, until I have tried the product. I do not accept one answer as 'gospel', because of the various opinions given, I can then assess whether to invest and try the product for myself, or totally reject the idea alltogether. I try to balance the responses, to avail myself the opportunity to make a sound allround decision of the product. It's a shame that some responders take umbrage to the fact that the infomation they supply, is not accepted 100%, just my questioning nature I suppose. The one observation I have found, is that people do not read the thread properly, before they give a response, but thats human nature, but to then get uptight over other peoples observations is inane. good debate is rewarding, getting personal isn't. just my thoughts __________________ good luck and tight lines chris lifes to short for animosity.
