frustrated another wasted opportunity again, what is it with the weather office, they have state of the art equipment, yet cannot get the predictions correct. since last weekend i was looking foward to a day at the seaside on the south coast to dangle a few worms, earmarked today (sunday 27th) as the most promising, watched the late broadcast for friday on the BBC. the weather man says gale force winds over the weekend, , so the idea was scrapped, out comes the rig tieing gear, to while away some time.saturday arrives and other anglers who where prepared to brave the elements, got some great sport, with very little wind, so i thought maybe....., watched the late forecast again saturday evening, lo and behold more gales for sunday, bah humbug, stay at home, sunday roast, lovely. get up this morning to brilliant sunshine, thought oh-oh, switched on computer to check the webcams, exmouth to hayling, unbelieveable very little breeze, wall to wall sunshine, so here i sit absolutely amazed that the weather people cant put 2+2 and come up with 4. the old fisherman who watches the sky, and looks at a bit of seaweed, and experience, can get it right 98% of the time, why do we pay so much to the met. office for such innacurate infomation. rant over will get me coat. ![]() ![]() __________________ good luck and tight lines chris lifes to short for animosity.

Re: frustrated Know what you mean mate. The weather has to be very very bad though to make the Solent beaches unfishable, so in future i would pop down regardless. Infact the windier the better at Hayling ![]() It was blowing a gole down here this morning and has died as the day has gone on. __________________ One day i will post a catch report again.

Re: frustrated Never trust the weatherman/woman Chris. I,m lucky that i live so close to the sea, north coast is only a few minutes from me and i can be on the southcoast in 15 minutes so can usually find somewhere to get a bit of fishing in even if the met office gets it wrong. Not so much of a problem for me but i could imagine it being a nightmare for someone living far from the coast who has to plan out a trip well in advance. Talking of weather it,s looking very windy this week again, showing gust's up to 60mph on tuesday, hope they got this weeks weather wrong lol __________________ Steve 2012 Species:Bass,Huss,SS Sea Scorpion,3B/Shore Rockling,Launce,Mackerel,Sand Goby,Sand Smelt,Pollack, Coalie,Conger
