hook problem I have been trying for the last 48 hours, doing internet searches, phoning shops, etc, to find some hooks. nobody has or carries stock of the items i want, here is the email i have sent out trying to locate them: Hi, I'm looking for some size 2 sea hooks, straight longish shank, similar to an aberdeen or kirby style, with the eye slightly reversed or bent back away from the gape/point,like the eye on a circle or eagle claw hook. quantity of 100 not concerned about colour. I want to use them for the top hook on a fixed pennel rig, so the line runs in line with the shank, through the eye. can you supply such a hook ? and at what cost? end of email can anyone on the forum come up with a suggestion, of maker or supplier that may retail this type of hook. regards chris __________________ good luck and tight lines chris lifes to short for animosity.

Re: hook problem Not sure, but could you not just 'adjust' straight shank/eyed ones to suit? Pain in the ar$e i know, but wouldnt be too difficult to acheive....

Re: hook problem chris what species are you targeting? and what baits rigs you using....you probably know its not normal to use such a small hook on a pennel. are you having both hooks size 2 or is this one just to pin the top of the bait. don't think you'll have any success with sea hooks, i've never seen them, you may have batter luck if you look at salmon hooks. the only other thought i can add is to clamp the hook in a metalwork vice and a pair of pliers...be crefull of that approach though as the high tensile metals may tend to snap rather than bend...use eye protection john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size

Re: hook problem chris the hook will bend if you tweak it with pliers they are not that high tensile ,if they were they would snap on a good fish thats why they bend ,
