| Re: rods and reels, penn? The 525mag has better braking as it has magnets. The 525GS is just a standard multiplyer. Both reels are good and will suffice for most fishing situations but, i would honestly say that the 525mag is a lot better reel due to being able to control the line in the cast alot better. As for which type of rod well thats personal choice. I only use 12' 6" two peice rods personally. I have no need for a longer rod.
