River Cobbler!

Seen this fish discussed on other forums and on the net and just wondering if there's any brave souls out there eaten this catfish.
From what i can gather it's sold as a cod substitute in some supermarkets and comes from the Mekong River which runs through Thailand, Vietnam and several other countries.
Some real horror stories about toxins in the river where this fish lives, i had Bass tonight to be on the safe side lol.

I've had River Cobbler... We bought some from Sainsbury's last year.... It was ok, just a little bland for my tastes. Much prefer a nice fillet of real Cod!

pansgus yep had it its ok i get it from the wing yip market in brum never been ill eating it ,,mind you i love dog fish shark ect lol

Never tasted dogfish/huss yet Chaz, wouldnt know how to prepare it for the table tbh. Looks ok when i,v seen it in the supermarket though.

easy very sharp knife i nail mine to a fence by its head cut skin round neck down back them peel it like an eel with a pair of pliers,,then fillet out the cartilage down the back job done there are no other bones,,,makes a good fish masala and fish pie i like it in bread crumbs
