Fancy jargon or what?

Here's one that's no doubt been asked many times before. What is an airbail fixed spool reel? Is it better than ones that aren't airbail? Kind regards to all.

Re: Fancy jargon or what?

Thanks for your replies gents. I've sent an email to Daiwa asking the question. I'll let you know when they reply. No Bill, I've still not got round to that new 15 footer. (In truth, I keep reading that particular thread because several members advise to stay with what I've got and pay for some casting lessons.) The only thing that stops me doing just that is the fact that several years ago I paid for casting lessons by a chap from Sheppey. Although he was extremely encouraging at my every cast, he didn't seem to be able to spot my weaknesses and put me right. So, all in all it was a bit of a waste of time and cash.

Re: Fancy jargon or what?

I've just received a reply from Garry Reynolds at Daiwa. It reads; 'Daiwa Airbail is a patented feature of Daiwa reels. It is basically a hollow bail arm which affects the reel by making it lighter and stronger.' Message ends.
So, I've learnt something new today. Kind regards to all.
