Question about bait

HI all,

I have been looking through the forum but can not seem to find an answer.
As expected I am a newbie to sea fishing (beach casting) and wanted to know
if it is possible to use whiting as bait??

And if yes, for which species can it be used?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

Re: Question about bait

Whiting are great live bait for Congers and Cod in the channel ,i`ve had several live whiting chomped by Congers , the last one off the beach last week...

Mr whiting ,well and truely chomped by a conger off the shore

Heres a Conger of around 20lb hanging onto a whiting of around a pound ,it let go just after the pic
