Re: wd40 In years gone by WD40 ,was known as Duck Oil ,and contained ,many natural ingrediants ,so spraying the bait added some natural smells ,and a lot of people believed it enhanced the bait , these days its a manufactured chemical releasing agent ,and i cant see it would have any effect on the smellyness of the baits ,but the pycological effect ,must make pwople more positive about their chances of catching . Maybe an old wives tail !, or is it ????? __________________ Mike.. Take nothing but pictures, Leave nothing but footprints, Kill nothing but time Mike`s Fishing Photo Gallery

Re: wd40 I think it contained fish oil at one time mate, seen guys using it but yet to see it making a massive difference to catch rates IMO. Dont think i,d like all my rigs, bag, clothes, sandwiches etc stinking of that stuff all through a sesh and then at home, it does linger a bit. One chap who fished with me and my mate sprayed it on his baits and everyone got to taste it as we were down wind of him ![]() __________________ Steve 2012 Species:Bass,Huss,SS Sea Scorpion,3B/Shore Rockling,Launce,Mackerel,Sand Goby,Sand Smelt,Pollack, Coalie,Conger

Re: wd40 It's a personal choice for you to make mate, but i,v never been convinced it makes that much difference. If you have good quality bait the scent from that should be good enough to attract fish. If you fish two rods it might be worth trying one with and one without wd40 to help you make a decision. __________________ Steve 2012 Species:Bass,Huss,SS Sea Scorpion,3B/Shore Rockling,Launce,Mackerel,Sand Goby,Sand Smelt,Pollack, Coalie,Conger
