| Re: confused mick who was that tourney caster could wack an overhead as far as a pedulum ,its all about loading the rod ,,to be honest i was taught by a welsh lad how to pedulum via the otg and i never fish far enough to use it or anywhere where i would ,i hear you have to at chesil is that true |

| Re: confused yea could be hes a monster caster ,,,took me ages to learn an otg i kept thinking the rod woud snap i never got the loading thing ,,had this welsh lad shouting " give it some stick ffs " lol a pendulum is nice to watch when done right ,its hard on the timing on the last flick back when you load the rod before you let fly i likend it to a back cast when fly fishing for some reason that escapes me |

| Re: confused imho as far as fishing goes if you can cast otg well there's not much to be gained by pendulum casting other than keeping your lead off the beach so as not to trip the grip lead on the way out or snag summat on the beach & screwup the cast. there's little point loading the rod early if you need to slow the cast down to time the hit and prevent 'locking' the rod too early. __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |
