| Re: Tuna at Praa Sands You don't see those very often, but bonito do occasionally find there way to cornwall and west wales, I think a charter boat that was to operate of the far western extremities with out riggers and down riggers may find odd tuna about as they do is western Ireland __________________ 20 years of marine biology can't be wrong but apparently it is |

| Re: Tuna at Praa Sands i suppose this sort of thing is inevitable with global warming etc, i for one cant wait to get the chance to catch one of them from local waters, if it ever happens |

| Re: Tuna at Praa Sands Always a dream of mine since i moved here 15yrs ago to catch something rare like that. I was fishing only a mile away from where this was caught yesterday, sure i seen it swim past my float lol! I remember a few years back reading in the local paper of a Barracuda caught in a net off the Lizard. You just never know what will turn up around this coast! | Re: Tuna at Praa Sands Are you a non believer Greenheart? Our club record is a big eye tuna of 66lb caught in 1985 by Andrew Pascoe from Newlyn Harbour. And of course several "man eating" sharks are spotted every summer down here lol! | Re: Tuna at Praa Sands hey i'm not mocking you or the cornish, i was reading that wsf post with interest last week and i beileve that the albacore & blufin are here, though in small numbers as yet. congratulations are in order for those who by chance happen to land one, even spearo's & i'd have the deepest respect for anyone who sucessfully targets them. my comments were takeing the global warming issue a stage further with regard to warm water species , plus there's a long dead standing joke on this forum regardinmg the famous pompey tarpon. ![]() tight lines gord. __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |
