Which spinning/plugging rod too go for?

Hi all. Ive been saving the pennies for a while now and have a budget of £75 to go and get a nice new spinning rod. Alas with so many too choose from and not really knowing what I am looking at I dont know what too get. I already have a spinning rod that is rated 1~3 oz that I can use for feathers and wedges so I would like too branch out and try soft and plastic lures . Ive read about the tennru rods and although they sound awsum I could not justify or aford too spend that amount on a rod is there nothing out there under £100 that could do the job just as well?
