what were you using??
i have never tryed carp fishing but i can see the apeal if you go to a lake at dusk and float some bread out along the top and watch the big 1 come up and take it

yeah, it was 13lb though!!!

the biggest 1 i have had must be around 6lb
i dont usualy wieght fish cause this way you can say what you like but i think it was around that size
put up a really good fight because it hadnt been feed on boilys
i just floated a bit of bread out in a nearly empty pond with about 1ft of water in
the next day some people came along and moved all the fish and they had about 400 out of this really really really small pond
hope the owner dont mind :? but aparently he has been arested for fraud anyway so i dont think he can really complain

well it could have been comman but it might have been grass carp
im not quite sure
my uncle has a big pond with a few carp and some tench and golden orfs in but he wont let me fish it
its a proper pond
not ornamental and the fish are getting quite big as well

grass can get massive, if it was like brown, probaly a common.

yeah
he has some grass (whihc are acouple of pounds at the mo)
a tench now which is still quite small
i think its 8 golden orfs which seem quite big
he had a bigish mirror carp which got caught by a herron but then the herron realised it was too big :evil:
and he also has acomman which is also quite big

he must have spent loads on carp and that, so i could see why he might not want you to fish it.
