Fishing in or around Looe

Me and the family are having a week in Looe W/C 8th August. I have a rod and reel for the boy (who is 8) and was wondering if there are any rocky marks nearby that are reasonably safe so he can float fish or even chuck a lure.

Any help appreciated.

Speak to Bill mate ( Billytattoo) - he's just back from his fishing marathon and fished the banjo pier in Looe ..
It must be safe and convenient as he wont walk more than 20 yards

Banjo pier is fine but the river side does get very busy during the day with boat traffic
