Which days is the Dover breakwater open to fish?

Hi, i will be going to Dover breakwater hopefully soon this month, however i do not really want to go on a weekend, as this is when i feel it will be very busy.

I think i saw somewere, where it said the breakwater is open Wednesday, Saturdays and Sunday, depending on the weather, i just would like to double check this.

So i was wondering is their any day of the week which they are open?
As i know you have to get a boat to breakwater, so just want to know if boats still oparate during the week.

Thanks Guys

hello mate,
the boat does indeed go out wednesdays and weekends,
it will not usually go out if a force 5 or above is forecast ,
if in doubt at all give the dover motor boat company a ring on 01304 206809.

your user name newfisher gives me the idea you might be a novice angler
to be honest the breakwater isn't the easiest of venues to learn on,
it is swept with very strong tides and you might find it difficult at times

if you are set on coming to dover the prince of wales pier is a darn sight easier to fish
there are a couple of shelters for when the weather goes tits ups and it is connected to the shore, which means you can go home whenever you like,on the breakwater you are out the until 3.30 like it or not
BUT
it is not so good on the princes,
the water is deeper and the chances of a big fish are greater on the breakwater
the choice is yours,

wherever you go mate, best of luck
