Carmarthen Bay info for august ( yes i know its months off haha)

right i dont usually ask
but just booked a family holiday august B/Hol week at park holiday kidwelly Carmarthen Bay

looks like direct acess to estuary so would be rude not to take the rods

anyone ever fished there, looks shallow and similar to the exe via google maps so guessing bass and flounder, but rays????

my mum and dad lived up the road from there mate

i fished the beach at ferryside,nice spot,theres a chippy there
i had flounder and schoolies,
the other side of kidwelly is cefn sidan beach
it looks a perfect bass surf beach,it goes on for miles

Plenty of Bass and flatties on Cefn Sidan , you could venture further a field to Rhossili ,maybe Port Eynon ,i know a man who is very familiar with that area ......

Haven't got to that area yet, but....
Take a fork - I understand there is a lot of free bait to collect there, worm, crab the works.
No need to tell you to travel light if fishing cefn sidn up, as you are sneaking a rod in with the tent poles.

Having spoken to some other people and they all seem to think you will struggle for rays, it is not unheard of for some very nice bass to come off cefn sidan along with flounder and schoolies coming from the river.
