Travelling fisherman help please!

Hello all!

I currently live in Nottingham and would like to fish various places around the UK. Obviously I have no need for expensive hotels or anything.

Am I correct in thinking my cheapest/most convenient option would be to look for caravan parks in whatever area I want to fish? Or a camping site? Are they usually the same?

What's a reasonable fee?

Thanks for your help!

David

Re: Travelling fisherman help please!

camp sites are a damn site cheaper than fixed caravans and your best bet is to try and go when the kids are at school as the prices plummet like buggery - a 600 quid a week static caravan will cost you 150 during term time !
A tent with all the kit provided will cost you about 20 bucks fo rthe weekend off peak

Yes mate. Usually all mod cons are provided, sometimes they may charge a few quid for the privilege though.
Best bet is to go somewhere not too touristy, how far were you planning on travelling? I don't know the coast near Nottingham but fishing the essex and Kent coastline has been really quiet this year. You could just get a decent beach buddy shelter and crash out in there, is what I usually do if i'm far from home. Walk from fishing mark to bed = nil :P
good luck!
