portable tripod/rod rests

Hi,

Been a while since I have been actively fishing, I am just trying to sort out some very transportable fishing gear and I am looking for a good tripod for shore fishing.

I want one that collapses down to about 3 foot but will extend out to 6 foot in use.

I have a cheapy Lidl one but it is too flimsy and wondered if any of you have found a good one.

I need this as in a push to get my fitness back I am cycling to shore venues and it is a bugger with a 6 foot tripod.

I had a look, the 3 to 6 foot one is tubular ally and has a plastic junction at the top, similar to an Ian Gold tripod I had and that went a bit iffy as the plastic wore. I like the look of the top on the lamp tripod, shame they do not do it with a rod rest too.

I wonder if there is a tripod adaptor for bank sticks, there are some good sturdy bank sticks out there, may not be a cheap option but might give me the stability I am after.
