| Abu Ambassadeur 6500 C3 CT Picked one up on the cheap of E-bay tonight and undecided what to rig her up for. Have some 50lb fireline braid and I was thinking to slap that on and use her with a sturdy boat rod during my off-shore trips in mexico, what sort of weights will it comfortably handle ? not enough grunt I suspect ? the other option is to put it on my 9ft heavy spinner and use it from the rocks and beach with 20lb line,*is it good for casting with* which would mean having to dip into the coffers again for a more powerfull boat reel, suggestions under 100 pounds for that would also be appreciated.
