BBQ Dogfish

I went to a mates BBQ lastnight and he produced a couple of Dogfish caught the day before which he then BBQ'd.
After years of intending to eat them i'm glad i did lastnight as they are disgusting and i never will again
Tasteless mush
They did however make the Black Bream taste all the more nicer

I`m afraid ,dogfish are only good for one thing ,and thats robbing perfectly good bait ,carefully prepared to catch Rays and Smoothounds ...

Still wouldn`t even think about killing one tho , even if they taste great ,too much faffin about to prepare em.

Maybe you would be better frying them in batter? Rock Salmon is a very popular dish I've been led to believe!

hmmm.. i read the first part of this with intreague.. I myself have been tempted to try 'rock' from the chippie for a while now and can't quite get my lips to say anything other than cod or haddock .
I agree its supposed to be nice but then , some people eat marmite !
Strangley i'm not a fan of jellied eels nor any salty snot sold in a jar disguised as shellfish , but i do like cheese and strawberry jam on a sarnie

when i was young my nan used to cook rock salmon every friday it was good so i'm looking forward to my 1st doggie

It's probably just like anything else, cook it right and it'll taste like it's supposed too!
