| boat fishing for novices hi all ,used to boat fish out of filey with my dad 30 years ago , have 2 lads of my own now and am dead keen to get a boat and show em how its done but have no idea about launching etc any and all advice v welcome cheers |

| Re: boat fishing for novices You might want to think about doing an RYA level 2 powerboat course. You will learn a lot about basic boating including launching and basic navigation. It is well worth the cost if you can afford it. Being a level 2 instructor I would say that, but in reality we all know the sea can be very dangerous especially to a novice.
