Re: any advice appreciated!

you aint got a cat n hells chance of anything much other than poor cod ,pout and maybe a dog l. try hermit and blacks for the chance of a codling that has been tied to a post just past the surf ..
Try up Portland for a monster wrasse on crab or rag ..

Cheers Scottish and mental! Not the news I wanted really but big help none the less! I have been looking around and a few sites have said the same... Need to catch my first big cod of the year as I have only caught a few tiddlers in the BC so far! Will speak to the others who are going and will let you know venue and how we get on!
Cheers sam

Chesil hasnt had a good year on the cod front and even if i was still mad enough to try and target one i'd be more inclined to try Abottsbury..mind you if i lived closer to the Clevedon area i'd probably have saved the last 20 years i've wasted on chesil
Pin whiting , poor cod , the odd flounder and pout are gonna make up the majority of any catches with the usual rockling showing up ..further East there are Dab by the bucket load as well as codling and other bits .. again , if i lived closer to Dungie i'd probably have saved ..... well you get the idea lol

good luck wherever you end up
