Portishead advise Hi, I'm looking to fish a bit further down the BC in the hope of giving myself a better chance of a new species or at least not blanking and have heard that Portishead fishes well. Can anyone advise on parking, access, etc (sure I read somewhere that you need to get a ticket from the harbour authority to fish). Thanks in advance. __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad.

Re: Portishead advise depends on which areas you fish i have never fished harbour so cant answer that it still seems quiet arround at the moment but may pick up on the neaps( as can fish for longer) battery point can be fished most of tide, over high stay on top the yaught club slipway is best over low but can fish most the area is incredibly muddy and you will lose gear big worm ,squid or fish baits for the codling/ straps at the moment good luck and let us know how you get on ![]() dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives

Re: Portishead advise Thanks Pingu, Have only just got back into fishing. Was born and bred in West Cornwall of a diet of float fishing with freshly dug king rag into crystal clear waters so the BC is an interesting challenge. But you can never catch a fish when staring into a monitor so I've got to give it a go. Will let you know how I get on. What is battery point like for access? Was thinking of taking one of my young 'uns but need to think about safety, etc. __________________ 2012: None Lifetime: Codling, Grey Gurnard, Mackerel, Pollock, Pouting, Wrasse, Scad.
