| Just back form Guinea Hi All Hope everyone is well and looking forward to getting christmas out of the way. Attached are a few photos from the groups this season , been down there for 2 months and on the whole they have all been good guys and we have had a real scream . Highlight this season was probably 120kg Tarpon for Rob , took him 2hrs and 45mins on 50lb class , and even though we had two people supposedly taking photos we didnt get so much as a silver flash . Mind you it was dark !!! we hooked it at 8.10 at night . Leadered it 4 times and on the last attempt it broke the hook length . Mighty fish though , went aerial at least 5 times that we saw. It also fried one of my TLD 25 s , the next day i took it out and as soon as we hit into a middle sized stinger everything started grinding and grating , stripped the main gear and cracked the end plate . Surprisingly few other tackle disasters to speak of several rods gave up te unequal battle after angler loses patience with unstoppable fish . Its amazing how hard it is to convey to a UK angler that there are fish down there that you just cant stop , they seem to think that when you hook a 20kg Cobia or a 30lb Jack that you have to stop it , and funnily enough thats how they lose all their fish . Youve got 300mts of line and you wont give it 10 !!!. anyway its been graet and for anyone that went this season its been a pleasure guiding you guys . More later , but now I have to do some work.
