| Re: keeping warm I was fishing saturday and sunday which was great to get out both days! Saturday we went down south to a lake for pike/silvers. I caught NOTHING. Not even a bite. Dad caught about 5 tiny roach. So waste of a day there. Sunday, me and my mate went to a river not too far from home. Again, NOTHING on the pike front. But we caught a right few roach! We even kept one to try as pike bait (incase the macks we were using werent appealing to the pike on the day) but still nothing. Never felt the cold once i have to say. Was well wrapped up! But this pike fishing malarky is starting to get stupid for me. People say a 20lb pike is a specimen... if i even SEEN a 1lb pike in the water it would be a specimen to me. |

| Re: keeping warm I went out last week on the beach (Caught nothing :-( ) and a friend lent me his Fladen floatation suit thing all in one piece. It was about 1 degree out but I was as warm as toast. Apparently they are cheap too he couldn't remember how much but thought about £85. Only downside was after the fourth cup of tea.... __________________ William James Coppin FSA (Fishing Sailing Activist) |
