30lb boat casting Rod

Bought a fantastic Boat Rod yesterday, so in preparation I purchased a bag of cement and stuck the biggest swivel I could purchase,stuck this into the bag of cement thus watering the bag and waited until it set.....hours later attached it to said boat rod but wrenched my shoulder testing the casting ability of said Rod!
I will continue experiment when shoulder gets better, in the interim period thought you,d like this?
