Try here A good local forum for the channel. http://z10.invisionfree.com/Veals_Mail_Order/index.php or here for a good fishing guide http://www.veals.co.uk/fishing_guide/local_fishing/?p=1.
There are a few places where you could fish all day such as burnham lower light but most depend on the tide.

Re: really want to fish bristol channel can anyone help.

have a word with lee/lj on here http://www.solent-fishing-forums.co.uk/ he lives up that way and know's the channel well.
ladye bay can be fished over low as well as a few other places, but be warned fishing over low in the upper bc normally means a long walk/lots of mud/climbing up and down wet rocks!
seven beach/aust is fishing well but it's a long way to go for a few hours fishing, need to fish springs on alot of the beach venues due to lack of depth on neaps......but lj will sort you out

Re: really want to fish bristol channel can anyone help.

Ive heard that a place called Hinkley point is supposed to be really good for cod!!! Ring this number, its a tackle dealer i recently got some kit off, he lives in bristol so should be able to help, he told me some points around the bristol channel including that spot.

01275 799002 (sorry can`t remember his name tho!!)
