hi all graham here just bac from boot fair brought rod 4.3m 100g-200g not well known but good enough for me, abu levelwind, tackle box loaded with hooks swivels,lines, rigs etc etc, campin gaz stove (single pan type) 2 tilley lamps one needin mantle one workin both need a little tlc, knife made by NOR MARK with MARTTIINI blade, £40 qiud the lot, is the knife a good one or not?, and how should the lamps fire up (lots ov black smoke mantle doesnt glow rather burns with orange flame.

does it run on parafin ? if so does it have a pre burner . these normally use meths

hi nick yes runs on parafin but wots a pre burner? is it the thing that looks like a wick on a clamp? if so no havnt got one.

the preburner is a small bowl by the wick ( mine is )
the wick will smoke untill its get hot
stick it the garden for a hr lit

the wick on a clamp is the way of turning the flame up and down
