Would you?

This morning I decided to go out onto some favourite rocks of mine and do some spinning, not a soul in sight, so spinning away happily perched upon my rock.......see these two figures suddenly appear over the horizon, one of which decides to come and stand right next to me, we exchange some banter as you do, but after that he didn't move off and give me some space, he just continued spinning beside me, man! 0530 in the morning, you think you would be safe from loonies that time of the day wouldn't you?

Needless to say I ended up moving off, off home!

Re: Would you?

Either
i) you were standing on his rock.
ii) he had no local knowledge & you looked like you knew where the fish were.
iii) he had a new rod to show off & you forgot to say how pretty it was.
iv) he couldn't swim
v) wedding bells are in the air.

Got to love it...

Re: Would you?

well Chaps, I think i have just developed a wet patch from laughing so much!. I did need cheering up a tad and I knew I could rely on you lot! Cheers .
Further to this, I thnk you will laugh, hopefully....After vacating the area, checking forecast's I decided to take to the sea in a beautiful Pea green boat...(it's not, its blue!) Hey but who cares, it just sounded good at the time.
Well I found myself now bobbing about the beautiful ocean in the boat with Papa, the little one, Josh my Son, I couldn't go miles out to Sea, as it was blowing somewhat and it would have made life uncomfortable, the inner Jennie ground, known to locals at Shoreham is reknown for fishing well for Bass, However nine time's out of Ten only on the Ebb, which was three hours after our arrival, but whilst waiting for the Ebb we played with the Bream although no sizable encounters all were over the pound mark or tad over which offer such good fun on a little rod, paternoster, one ounce lead, loaded with fresh Mackeral strips!
We must have caught plenty, but most returned with a few for tomoz barbecue (it has to be done they are beautiful).
Now, this is the truly laughable bit all boat anglers will enjoy....Its just turning on the Ebb, Yahoooo, Bass ACTION........NO, NO, NO, not there! PLEASE PLEASE NO NO NO!. Bloody Divers! they put down about six divers no joke approx 5 yards from where we were anchored, east of us the tide ebbing thus they will be travelling west....thus be going straight for us,.
At that point of them coming under our boat the actual Dive Boat (RIB) was parellel with our boat, apprx 5metres away, an occuppant on boat waved, as boaters do to each other, (consequently ignored) as I was just about to explode with amass of unexceptable lauguage, (if my young Son had not been on board...) but I rather suggested that they had not considered others, that they may be encroaching on peoples space and they were putting probably novice divers at risk as I had numerous rods fishing at numerous heights as to which said Divers may get entangled in! !!! A deadly silence ensued, which met no reply... they picked up Divers and disapeared into Sunset! Obviously the Bass fishing didn't go quite to plan...Moral of the Story...THE LUNATICS HAVE BEEN LET OUT OF THE ASYLUM! Do not go fishing Bank Holidays!

Re: Would you?

Altough I am not defending the guy, I wonder if he was a begginner like me who does not know anything about fishing and who needed comfort of experienced angler???

Sometimes I go and say hello to anglers. But I dont stay that close and I dont disturb that long.
